Jefferson State Community College

Quality schools

Pell City has its own city school system, serving nearly 4,000 students. The school system is nationally accredited, and is highly competitive in the classroom and on the field.

A regional Christian school has its home in Pell City and continues to grow.

Pell City also has a major community college campus located here, Jefferson State Community College, offering an extensive two-year curriculum with plans to add a nursing school.

The iCADEMY, located next door to Jefferson State, is a joint effort by the county’s two school systems, the Economic Development Council, county commission and the college to offer high school students hands-on training in skills the business community needs in its workforce. When students graduate from this dual enrollment program, they have a high school diploma plus college credits. Dual enrollment also is offered in academics.
