Verhonda Embery is a retired Administrative Support Associate from Auburn University-St. Clair County Extension after 32 years of service—21 years in Talladega and 11 years in St. Clair County.
She is a native of Pell City where she has lived all of her life, except for her time at college. She is a proud graduate of Alabama A&M University in Huntsville.
Family is very important to her. She is the mother of one son, the youngest of nine children, and the aunt of many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loves unconditionally.
Verhonda is a long-time member of Rocky Zion Baptist Church and supporter of many church programs and activities. She is a member of the District2 Citizens in Action, a nonprofit community organization. Now that she is retired, one of her goals is to read, travel, and become more active in her community.
She would like to use her Administrative Support Skills (great communicator, flexibility, clerical/administrative skills, and her friendly personality) to be an asset in community programs, including the Pell City Chamber of Commerce.
